I recognize that deciding to begin or restart therapy can be a daunting process, and requires a vulnerability that can feel intimidating. I strive to build a relationship with you that allows for a safe space where you can explore such vulnerabilities, strengths, and areas in need of growth. I believe that therapy is effective because of this trusting relationship, and work to create a warm and supportive environment in which you can approach yourself and your experiences with curiosity and self-compassion. It is my privilege to do this work and to help understand, support, and guide you towards a life that feels better for you.

treatment approach
I am an integrative therapist, which means that I flexibly combine multiple approaches to achieve the best fit for each individual. While I primarily employ an insight-oriented approach, in which we look at how past experiences may influence current issues, I also focus on how present thoughts and behaviors maintain patterns that may lead to difficulties. I work to build a relationship with you that allows for a safe space where you can explore your vulnerabilities, strengths, and areas in need of growth.
By examining past and present in tandem, together we can learn more about yourself and your feelings, as well as how to strengthen your coping skills and increase self-awareness as a route to meaningful, lasting changes. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort, and use an active style to create and check in about client goals for treatment.
